Zebra vs Peacock
Pretend a zebra and a peacock meet in forest. Look at the facts. Then you pick.
Would they meet?
Almost never. Their homes sit next to each other.
This is pretend and based on facts. Real animals usually hide or leave.
Read the facts. Make your card. The page waits to pick.
Zebra
Equus quagga · A living barcode with a mule's kick.
Grazer.
Wide-set eyes for a nearly 360° view.
Nervy and brave in a group.
Family: Horses and donkeys.
Peacock
Pavo cristatus · A walking fireworks show with spurs.
Bug and seed pecker.
They see in color that would melt a crayon box.
Show-off until startled, then a surprisingly mean kick.
Family: Pheasants and junglefowl — the flashy chicken extended family.
SIZE & WEIGHT
Stand them next to a grown-up. Who is bigger and heavier?
1.70 m
Grown-up
1.40 m
Zebra
1.10 m
Peacock
Height to scale. A grown-up is 1.7 m.
About the size of a small horse that learned martial arts.
Light as a cat, longer than a broom when the train is fully extra.
Zebra
1.40 m · 350 kg
Zebra is big. 350 kg.
Peacock
1.10 m · 5 kg
Peacock is small. 5 kg.
Kilograms are honest. A small animal can still have a strong tool.
Who would you pick for size?
TOOLS
Teeth, claws, horns, venom, kick — what tools do they have?
Zebra · labeled field diagram
Peacock · labeled field diagram
Zebra
Rear-leg thunder kick
Tool: rear-leg thunder kick. Bite: 300 psi.
Peacock
Leg spurs
Tool: leg spurs. Bite: 20 psi.
A bite number is only one tool. Coils and kicks count too.
Whose tools would you trust?
SPEED
Who gets there first?
Zebra
65 km/h
Zebra can go 65 km/h. That is fast.
Peacock
16 km/h
Peacock can go 16 km/h. That is not very fast.
A fast animal can miss. A slow one only has to connect.
Who takes the speed card?
HOME
They meet in forest. Who is built for this place?
Meeting biome: forest. Colored land is where each animal actually lives.
Zebra
Can handle it · Lives in Africa
Zebra's home is the african grassland, not forest.
Peacock
This is home · Lives in Asia
Peacock lives in places like forest.
Almost never. Their homes sit next to each other.
Who gets the home point?
FOOD
How do they get lunch?
Zebra
Plants · Grazer.
Grass, grass, and more grass.
Peacock
Plants and meat · Bug and seed pecker.
Seeds, insects, small reptiles.
A plant eater is not 'safe.' Hippos and elephants still end arguments.
Whose hunting or defending helps more?
MOOD
Alone vs team. This rumble is one vs one.
Zebra
Lives in a herd
Nervy and brave in a group. Grit: 7/10.
Peacock

BRAINS
Who notices first and thinks next?
Zebra
5/10
Wide-set eyes for a nearly 360° view.
Peacock
4/10

In the wild, brains often mean leave before it starts.
Who would you score for noticing?
FAMILY
Who are they related to?
Zebra
Equus quagga
Horses and donkeys.
Peacock
Pavo cristatus
Pheasants and junglefowl — the flashy chicken extended family.
Cousins are clues, not a score.
Not a fight point. Who has the wilder family story?
SPECIAL
What special move did they evolve?
Zebra
Zigzag Stampede
Zebras do not run in a straight line.
Peacock
Train Fan Blast
The train rattles, the eyespots shimmer, and everybody forgets what they were doing.
A secret move here is a real wild tool, not a video-game combo.

A STOMP
You skipped a final pick. The facts still stamp a champ.
On forest, Zebra wins. Zebra is a lot heavier. Peacock would still win some meetings at home.
In the wild, most animals skip a fight. We still judge who the bodies and the place would favor.
Science card: Zebra 7 · Peacock 1.
Your card: Zebra 0 · Peacock 0.
The last page follows the whole animal — body plus home — not one bar chart.
